Kyjev Hotel is in an excellent position, just off the old town. It's a big old communist hotel which gives it a certain charm. The general facilities are good, staff speak english and the breakfast is one of the best you'll find in that part of the world. The downside can be the rooms - the one I was in had seen better days. The bathroom was old, but just about clean enough. It's fine for a few nights and one of the cheaper options in town.

Top Tip:
Head left out out of the hotel, past Tesco and over the road and you start to make your way into the old town which has all the bars and restaurants you'll want. There's enough to spend a day or two there but if you've done all you want, head to the river and catch a boat to Vienna, it's only an hour away.
