This is VERY BASIC, with the walls like a set on a TV show and the bathroom was in very bad order (Rusty taps, cracked sinks, etc) - all the rooms are like this, but if you don't mind that, then it's fine. Food (breakfast) was excellent, and the staff are friendly. It's right in the centre and next to a Tesco store (which is probably the only way I managed to get back to the hotel at 5.30am after drinking a stupid amount of alcohol - don't rememeber anything after 3am, woke up in bed at 9am!)

Don't get ripped off by a taxi from the airport like we did. It should be 600 Slovakian Korona no more. Lots to see and do - there are loads of parks around if you check out google earth before you leave or have it on your phone like I did. Also, make sure you find the Blue Church - out of the main town, but an AWESOME sight.

The upper storeys command superb views over the city and are well worth asking for. It is worth buying a pass for the public transport which is excellent with trams, buses and trolleybuses.

There are plenty of bars nearby but a pizzeria was the only visible restaurant.A massive Tesco provided a couple of bottles for a late night tipple. Great food pub called 1.Slovak Pub about 10 minutes walk or 2 tram stops.

Beware of going to Bratislava for a stag weekend as they hate large groups of Brits.

The hotel is cheap, if it wasn't for the cheapness I woold make a serious complaint. On arrival in the room we found may cockroaches and a pair of soiled boxer shorts. Worst hotel I have stayed in and being a keen traveller I have stayed in many. Hotel pratically run itself, no staff to answer questions.

We visited 2 restaurants, the medusa and the dubliner, both served basis dishes but pleasant enough. The Castle was worth seeing and the old town as some admirable sites.

Rooms are quite basic, and the plumbing is a bit rickety. The breakfasts are excellent though. For a central location that is not expensive, it is OK.
