Wounderfully quirky place. Small cabin style room, 2 large beds. No noise poroblems, 10 minutes walk along the river into town,perfect.

Top Tip
Food is not great in Bratislava, we had ameal in the centre of town which was poor for the cost of it

Nice Botel - BUT joining instructions should include assistance in locating the site, which is not well sign-posted from the main dual carriage way - as I spent some time driving up and down the road trying to locate and park up! Services close at 11pm (inc no bar/food after that time - which is a shame - as I arrived late - after hours trying to locate - and then - no services!)

Top Tip
Once parked across the road, this is an excellent base to walk up to the parliment buildings, castle, cathedral, old town etc. From here, across the bridge and you are onto the raod network to the rest of Slovakia

There could have been a bar suitable for female travellers, the only one availabe was the pole dancing club!

in a nice location about ten minutes stroll along the riverside from the old town. There is a little bar at the top of the jetty which is handy for a nitecap or two after a night out in town

Top Tip
Avoid the Dubliner bar like the plague unless you want a good hiding by bat weilding thugs!!

Free safes are an excellent idea. Location - near the castle and about five min walk from centre.

Air conditioning in room didn't work. In a small room with 30 degrees outside temperature the room was unbearably hot and stuffy.

Our stay at the Botel Marina was very nice & was in a great location, the only thing that would put me off returning is it was very noisy, we were underneath the restuarant and between 6-7am you can hear them banging around/moving furniture in the restuarant above, also the night club was underneath so you could hear the music until early hours and was not the sort of club that most would want to go in.

Top Tip
There are regular trips on the Danube that are well worth doing & are reasonably priced. The boat trip to Vienna is very good & you get to spend 4 hrs min there. the food & service in Ramblas tapa bar was exelent but a little expensive and is situated around the square right near the old building that looks like a church but has an arch you can walk through. The food in the Mexican was also very good and is situated in the main square next to the Irish bar. its a nice walk up to the castle and around the grounds. Take a walk along the bridge with the UFO style restaurant, you can go up to the viewing gallery at the top of the building and the view is great (cost £5 each). there is also a big shopping centre over there for those that like to shop.
