The 9-storey City Hotel Bratislava is housed in a somewhat oppressive Communist-era edifice with a concrete façade. The lobby, with its dark wood fixtures and fittings, is also rather gloomy. But as soon as you enter, the friendly, helpful staff do all they can to make you forget this legacy. There are several seating areas, a small bar and marble floors throughout. The 254 guest rooms are divided into standard and business class. The décor isn't too inspiring, being mainly composed of browns and beiges, but the rooms are spacious and fairly well appointed. The hotel's restaurant serves breakfast only. It is located in an atrium on the ground floor and is airy and spacious. There is free internet access available in the lobby.
